Cava Guilera is a familiar business, specialized in making ageing cavas. We have chosen this way because we believe that a cava needs time to become a great cava. Time to grow, to mature and to naturally develop its intrinsic properties. Time for all of them to integrate and become a harmonious whole, pleasant to the palate. Time to let things happen, aside from the frenetic productivity that prevails in the market.

It is our passion for what we do and a real will to offer a quality product and service to our friends and clients, who have led us to reach such willingness. We are wine growers, artisans and businesspeople. Our work is our life to a large extent and what we do is an expression of who we are. The thing is that the main motivation for a self-employed person is to make things the way he/she believes things must be done, learning to manage freedom in a responsible way and trying to bring something positive to society.

Quality must imbue every step in our way but, most of all, the beginnings: the land. Land is the starting point, the root and essence of an economy, and essential to life is the beauty of its landscapes.

And land is, among others, the most ill-treated element during the 20th Century.

It is our resposibility to fight for a change of trend and in Cava Guilera we have been working on this for many years. In the first place —as my father used to say, a tidy home; and then, through collective awareness, a hard work that has been managed with intelligence, perseverance and imagination, a work that has driven us to the doors of ecotourism, which will be for sure a turning point for the future of the industry: cava and wine tourism, an economic project that can also be a philosophy, a new way to understand life. More respectful and sustainable, more imaginative, and in consequence, more responsive. In short, more sensible.
